Fima is the new ambient, neoclassical and minimalist piano project from British pianist-composers and producer Dave Stapleton. With a formal training in classical piano, he has been at the forefront of a new wave of music creation as a producer, musician and record executive, since 2005, founding Edition Records, one of the leading independent Jazz global Jazz labels in 2008 as well as releasing four albums with cinematic, Jazz and trip-hop group, Slowly Rolling Camera. Utilising the characterful warmth of the upright piano as well as the richness and breadth of the grand piano, Fima embodies the fluidity of Jazz, with the emotive richness of classical music with the high production values of electronic music. It’s intimate, peaceful and inviting, blending natural and spacious harmonies with infectious and captivating melodies.
